Dashboard

The Dashboard is your personal command center on artist.tools, where you can save, organize, and track playlists, artists, curators, and tracks. It helps you monitor growth, stay organized, and plan your next moves more effectively.

Saving Items

Anywhere on the site, you can save playlists, artists, curators, or tracks to your Dashboard. Just click "Save to Dashboard" on any entity.

You’ll be prompted to choose a folder. Folders help you organize your saved items based on campaigns, genres, goals, or any custom system you like.

Organizing With Folders

Each type of saved item is grouped under a parent tab:

  • Playlists

  • Artists

  • Curators

  • Tracks

Within each parent tab, your folders appear as child tabs across the top.

  • Click + New Folder to create a new folder

  • Click any folder to view the saved items inside

You can create as many folders as you need to keep your research or outreach clean and focused.

Viewing Your Data

You can view your saved items in two modes:

Card Mode

  • Visual layout (default)

  • Best for browsing at a glance

Table Mode

  • Spreadsheet layout

  • Customize which columns are visible

  • Sort by any metric (e.g., followers, growth, contact info)

Switch between modes using the icons in the top-right corner of any tab.

Tracking Growth Over Time

Your Dashboard lets you track how your saved items evolve.

At the top right, choose a date range. For example:

  • 1 Day

  • 7 Days

  • 30 Days

  • 90 Days

  • 6 Months

  • 1 Year

  • etc, etc, etc

Key metrics will update to show how they’ve changed during that period using Trend Indicators—useful for spotting growth patterns or decline across playlists, artists, etc.

Examples:

  • Track if a playlist you’re watching is gaining or losing followers

  • See if an artist’s popularity score is climbing

  • Monitor curator behavior over time

Managing Contacted Playlists

Under the Playlists tab, you’ll find a special folder called Contacted.

Any playlist you mark as "Contacted" on the site will automatically show up here.

Use this to:

  • Track your outreach efforts

  • Filter out playlists you’ve already pitched to

  • Avoid duplicate submissions

Exporting Data

Paid users can export saved data to CSV format:

  • In Table Mode, click the Download button

  • The export includes:

    • All visible data columns

    • Core metrics

    • Trend changes based on your selected date range

This is especially useful for:

  • Compiling pitch lists

  • Building campaign reports

  • Backing up your research

Tips And Best Practices

  • Use folders to group playlists by release, genre, or strategy

  • Regularly switch your date range to uncover both short-term momentum and long-term performance

  • Use Table Mode to prep for exports or detailed filtering

  • Mark playlists as “Contacted” to keep outreach clean and traceable

  • You can save more than just playlists — use the Dashboard to build profiles on curators, artists, and tracks for deeper insight

The Dashboard gives you the tools to take control of your strategy. Save what matters, track what changes, and stay ahead of the curve.
