artist.tools offers flexible pricing across multiple subscription tiers, each designed for different user needs in the music industry. All paid plans include a 7-day refund policy and can be canceled anytime. Yearly billing provides significant savings compared to monthly subscriptions.

Save up to 45% by choosing yearly billing instead of monthly. For example, the artist.tools Artist plan costs $15/month billed monthly, or just $8.25/month when billed yearly ($99/year total).

Free Plan

The Free plan provides basic access to core features, perfect for getting started with artist.tools:

The Free plan has significant limitations including blurred out data, no CSV export, no SEO tools, no Activity Feed, and restricted access to advanced search filters. Upgrade to a paid plan to unlock all features.

The Artist Access plan is designed for independent musicians and artists who need comprehensive playlist and curator data:

Developer plans are not available for team accounts. Only Artist Access and Industry Access plans can be assigned to team members.

Team Pricing

Teams receive a 15% discount on all plans with unified billing. This is ideal for labels, management companies, and collaborative groups. Team billing is currently available on monthly plans only.

Team Pricing:

  • Artist Access: $12.75/month per seat (was $15)

  • Industry Access: $25.50/month per seat (was $30)

  • Monthly billing only (yearly billing coming soon)

  • Unified billing — one invoice for all team members

  • Centralized team management

Team accounts require a paid plan to create. Once created, you can invite members with different access levels (Artist or Industry) and manage everything from a single dashboard.

To create a team:

  1. Navigate to the pricing page

  2. Click Create a Team in the Team Pricing section

  3. You'll be redirected to /settings/teams to complete setup

Monthly Billing

Pay month-to-month with no long-term commitment. You can cancel anytime, and you'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Yearly Billing

Save significantly by paying annually upfront:

  • Artist Access: Save $81/year (45% savings)

  • Industry Access: Save $161/year (45% savings)

  • Developer Access: Save $1,020/year (34% savings)

Yearly billing is the default option on the pricing page because it offers the best value. You can switch to monthly billing using the toggle on the pricing page before selecting your plan.

How to Subscribe

For New Users

  1. Visit the pricing page

  2. Toggle between Monthly and Yearly billing to see pricing options

  3. Click Upgrade Access → on your chosen plan

  4. Log in or create an account if you haven't already

  5. Complete checkout through Stripe's secure payment portal

  6. Upon successful payment, you'll be redirected back to artist.tools with full access

For Existing Free Users

  1. Navigate to the pricing page while logged in

  2. Select your preferred plan and billing cycle

  3. Click Upgrade Access →

  4. Complete the Stripe checkout process

  5. Your account will be upgraded immediately upon payment

For Existing Paid Users

If you're already on a paid plan and want to upgrade or downgrade:

  1. Visit the pricing page

  2. You'll see a banner showing your current plan with a Modify button

  3. Click Modify to navigate to /settings/billing

  4. Manage your subscription, including upgrades, downgrades, or cancellations

If you're on a team account and are not the team owner or administrator, you cannot modify your plan directly. Contact your team administrator to make billing changes.

Refund Policy

All paid plans include a 7-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied within the first 7 days of your subscription, contact support at aaron@artist.tools for a full refund.

Refunds are processed back to your original payment method. After the 7-day window, subscriptions are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to prevent future charges.

To request a refund:

  1. Email aaron@artist.tools with your account email and reason for the refund

  2. Include your subscription details (plan type and purchase date)

  3. Refunds are typically processed within 1-2 business days

Managing Your Subscription

After subscribing, you can manage all billing aspects through your account settings:

Accessing Billing Settings

  1. Log in to your artist.tools account

  2. Navigate to /settings/billing

  3. You'll be redirected to the Stripe billing portal

What You Can Manage

  • Update payment method — Change your credit card or payment information

  • View invoices — Download past invoices and payment history

  • Change billing cycle — Switch between monthly and yearly billing

  • Upgrade or downgrade — Move between plan tiers

  • Cancel subscription — End your subscription (access continues until period ends)

Plan changes are prorated automatically. If you upgrade mid-cycle, you'll only pay the difference for the remaining time. If you downgrade, you'll receive a credit applied to future billing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I switch between monthly and yearly billing?

Yes. You can change your billing cycle at any time through /settings/billing. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing period. If you switch from monthly to yearly, you'll be charged the annual rate immediately and receive credit for your remaining monthly time.

What happens when I upgrade or downgrade?

Plan changes are prorated automatically:

  • Upgrades: You pay the difference for the remaining time in your current billing cycle

  • Downgrades: You receive a credit applied to future billing

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There are no cancellation fees or penalties. You'll retain access to your paid plan until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the Free plan.

Do you offer student or non-profit discounts?

Currently, artist.tools does not offer special pricing for students or non-profits. However, team pricing (15% discount) may be beneficial for organizations with multiple users.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards through Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Stripe also supports alternative payment methods depending on your region.

Can I get an invoice for my subscription?

Yes. All invoices are available through the Stripe billing portal at /settings/billing. You can view, download, and print invoices for all past payments.

What happens if my payment fails?

If a payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry several times over the next few days. You'll receive email notifications about the failed payment. If payment cannot be processed, your subscription will be suspended and your account will revert to Free plan access until payment is resolved.
