Get started as an Artist

artist.tools is your all-in-one platform for analyzing your Spotify data, detecting bots, improving playlist strategy, and understanding your performance over time. This guide walks you through how to get started and unlock the platform’s full potential.

Accessing artist.tools

To begin, head to artist.tools and create an account with Google login, Email login, or Facebook login. Once logged in, you’ll land on your Dashboard, your personal command center for managing and monitoring your data.

Understanding the Dashboard

Your Dashboard is where you can:

  • Save artists, playlists, and tracks to monitor them continuously

  • Get performance snapshots at a glance: see follower growth, popularity score, playlist inclusion, and streaming trends

  • Quickly access tools like bot detection, keyword exploration, and artist comparison

Think of the Dashboard as your mission control for strategy and insight.

Bot Detection

Artificial streaming can ruin your momentum. artist.tools helps you detect it fast. You can view your inclusion

Two ways to detect bots:

  1. Dashboard Bot Check
    Paste any Spotify playlist URL directly into your Dashboard and the system will analyze it for signs of artificial growth.

  2. Search Page Analysis
    Go to app.artist.tools/search
    Paste a Spotify playlist URL here to receive an instant rating:

    • You'll see whether it’s likely botted

This helps you avoid bad placements and maintain clean growth.

Artist Page Metrics Overview

Visit your artist profile within artist.tools to dive deep into your Spotify performance. Here's what you’ll find:

Charts Tab

Track your monthly listeners, followers, and popularity score over time—even if Spotify doesn’t give you the full history. This helps you visualize growth trends and pinpoint inflection points.

Playlist Risk Summary

See how many playlists you’re in that have a history of botted behavior:

  • “In 3 Botted Playlists” means you're currently in 3 suspected botted playlists and 0 recently removed ones

Playlists Tab

See every playlist you’re currently included in—ranked by follower count, engagement quality, and risk level. You can sort and filter to find your best placements or suspicious ones.

Activity Tab

This is your timeline of change:

  • Which playlists added or removed you, and when

  • Great for tracking campaign results or random algorithmic activity

Strategic Use Cases

  • Track campaign results and watch how playlist additions affect your metrics over time

  • Compare against similar artists

  • Get in touch with relevant playlists via the Playlist Search page

  • Avoid fake playlists and protect your reputation using the bot detection tools
