Keyword Dashboard
The Keyword Dashboard is your central hub for tracking playlist SEO performance and managing saved keywords. It provides two main views: the Playlist Overview for organizing playlists into folders and monitoring their keyword rankings, and Saved Keywords for tracking your priority keywords across all playlists.
Access the Keyword Dashboard
Navigate to Tools > SEO in the sidebar
Click Keyword Dashboard or navigate directly to app.artist.tools/seo/playlists
The page loads with Playlist Overview as the default tab
Expected result: You'll see a tabbed interface with "Playlist Overview" and "Saved Keywords" tabs at the top.
Playlist Overview tab
The Playlist Overview tab helps you organize playlists into custom folders and track their keyword performance in one centralized view.
Understanding the Playlist Overview
When you open the Playlist Overview tab, you'll see:
Folder tabs: Sub-tabs for each playlist folder (defaults to "My Playlists")
Playlist table: Displays all playlists within the selected folder with SEO metrics
Loading indicators: Toast notifications show "Loading SEO data for 'Folder Name'..." during data fetches (can take up to a minute for large folders)
Create a playlist folder
In the Playlist Overview tab, click the + button next to the folder tabs
A "Create Folder" modal appears
Enter a descriptive folder name (e.g., "Workout Playlists", "Study Focus", "Genre Testing")
Click Create or press Enter
Expected result: A new folder tab appears with an empty playlist table, ready for you to add playlists.
View playlist SEO data
The playlist table displays comprehensive SEO metrics:
Playlist name: The title of your playlist with a clickable link
Quality data: SEO health score or quality metrics
Followers: Current follower count
Snapshots: Historical data points tracking changes over time
Keyword count: Number of keywords the playlist currently ranks for
Market count: Number of markets/regions where the playlist appears
Search volume: Combined search volume for ranked keywords
Search playlists within a folder
Select the folder you want to search
Locate the search bar above the playlist table
Type the playlist name or partial match
Results filter in real-time (client-side filtering)
Expected result: Only playlists matching your search query appear in the table.
Sort playlist data
Click any column header (e.g., "Followers", "Search Volume", "Keyword Count")
The table sorts in ascending or descending order
Click again to reverse the sort direction
Expected result: Playlists reorder based on the selected metric, helping you identify top performers or underperforming playlists quickly.
Customize table columns
Click the column header menu (three dots or settings icon)
Select which columns to show or hide
Your preferences save automatically
Use case: Hide less relevant columns (like Snapshots or Market Count) to focus on your priority metrics such as followers and search volume.
Export playlist data
Select the folder containing the playlists you want to export
Click the Export or CSV button in the table header
A CSV file downloads with all visible playlists and their metrics
Expected result: The CSV includes playlist-specific fields like name, followers, keyword count, market count, and search volume for the selected folder.
Rename a playlist folder
Select the folder you want to rename
Click the three dots menu next to the folder name
Select Rename Folder
A "Rename Folder" modal appears with the current name pre-filled
Enter the new folder name and click Rename
Expected result: The folder tab updates with the new name immediately. All playlists remain in the folder.
Delete a playlist folder
Select the folder you want to delete
Click the three dots menu next to the folder name
Select Delete Folder
A confirmation modal appears asking you to confirm deletion
Confirm deletion
Expected result: The folder is removed, and you're redirected to another folder. If the folder contained playlists, they move to the selected fallback folder.
Pagination controls
The Playlist Overview uses client-side pagination to manage large folders:
At the bottom of the table, use the page controls to navigate
Default page size: 8 playlists per page
Available options: 8, 24, 48, or 100 playlists per page
Select a larger page size to view more playlists at once
Expected result: The table updates to show the selected number of playlists per page.
Saved Keywords tab
The Saved Keywords tab displays all keywords you've saved across the platform, making it easy to monitor performance and track your priority keywords in one place.
Access the Saved Keywords tab
From the Keyword Dashboard, click the Saved Keywords tab (next to "Playlist Overview")
The tab loads with all your saved keywords in a table format
Expected result: A table displays all your saved keywords with performance metrics.
Save keywords to the dashboard
You cannot save keywords directly from the Saved Keywords tab—keywords must be saved from other areas of the platform.

Organize your keyword strategy
Keyword selection best practices
When deciding which keywords to save:
Match your playlist genres: Only save keywords that align with the music you curate
Balance competition and opportunity: Choose keywords with good growth but manageable competition (avoid those dominated by 200K+ follower playlists)
Include variations: Save both broad terms (e.g., "workout music") and niche variations (e.g., "gym workout songs 2024")
Monitor market-specific keywords: If you target specific regions, save keywords for those markets
Review regularly: Check your saved keywords monthly and remove those with declining growth
Create a keyword cluster
For each playlist, save 5-7 related keywords:
1 primary keyword (highest volume, core theme)
2-3 secondary keywords (related topics, moderate volume)
2-3 long-tail keywords (niche, lower competition)
Example cluster for a chill playlist:
Primary: "chill music"
Secondary: "chill vibes", "relaxing songs"
Long-tail: "chill study beats", "chill acoustic guitar"
Troubleshooting
Issue | Likely Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
Loading takes longer than 1 minute | Large folder with 50+ playlists or slow server response | Wait for the toast notification to confirm completion. If loading fails, refresh the page or try again later. |
Saved keywords not appearing in the list | Browser cache issue or sync delay | Refresh the page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R). If the issue persists, check another page to confirm the keyword is saved. |
Can't save more keywords | Reached the 100 keyword limit on Industry plan | Remove less important keywords or upgrade to a higher plan for increased limits. |
Saved keywords show outdated metrics | Data updates every 10-24 hours | Wait for the next data refresh cycle. Metrics are not real-time. |
Keyword removed by accident | Clicked the ⭐ icon without confirmation | Go to Keyword Explorer, search for the keyword, and save it again using the ⭐ icon. |
Folder disappeared after deletion | Folder was deleted and you were redirected to another folder | Check the fallback folder selected during deletion. Playlists were moved there, not deleted. |
Empty tables with no data | Free plan user—SEO metrics require Industry plan or higher | Upgrade to an Industry plan to access full SEO metrics, keyword data, and folder features. |
Playlists don't appear in search results | Search only filters by playlist name, not by keyword or metric | Ensure you're typing the exact playlist name. If searching by keyword, use column sorting instead. |
Limitations
Keyword limit: Industry plan restricted to 100 saved keywords
No folders for keywords: Saved keywords appear in a single list—no grouping by playlist or genre available
Client-side pagination in Playlist Overview: All playlists in a folder load at once, which may cause delays for folders with 50+ playlists. No server-side pagination or infinite scroll.
Search limitations: Searching in Playlist Overview only filters by playlist name, not by metrics like keyword count or search volume
Market-specific saves: Each keyword is saved per market (US keyword saved separately from UK version)
No collaboration: Team members cannot share saved keyword lists or playlist folders (each user has their own)
No bulk actions: Can't save or remove multiple keywords at once—must do individually
Free plan restrictions: Free users see empty tables with no SEO metrics or actionable data
Data refresh rate: Metrics update every 10-24 hours—not real-time
