SEO & Press Overview

SEO & Press Overview is the main hub for monitoring keyword changes, press mentions, and saved keyword lists in artist.tools. Use the Overview tab to review recent SEO movement across playlists, curators, artists, and tracks, and use Saved Keywords to organize the keywords you want to keep tracking.

Industry Access required: the SEO data shown on this page is part of Industry Access.

Open SEO & Press Overview

  1. Open /seo in the app.

  2. The page loads with two top-level tabs: Overview and Saved Keywords.

Use Overview when you want to monitor changes across tracked entities. Use Saved Keywords when you want to review and organize the keywords you have already saved elsewhere in artist.tools.

Use the Overview tab

The Overview tab combines change tracking and a table view in one place.

  1. Stay on Overview.

  2. Use the entity tabs to switch between Playlists, Curators, Artists, and Tracks.

  3. Review the overview cards and table for the selected entity type.

The overview includes these main areas:

  • Keyword ranking changes for tracked entities

  • Press mentions for external backlink and coverage monitoring

  • An entity table for the selected tab

Keyword Ranking Changes and Press Mentions are marked Early Access on this page.

In the change cards, you can switch between All, New, and Lost to focus on the movement you care about most.

Filter the overview by keyword folder

You can scope the Overview tab to one or more saved-keyword folders.

  1. Open the Scope to folder control.

  2. Select the folder or folders you want to include.

  3. Review the cards and table with that folder scope applied.

  4. Click Clear to remove the filter.

This is useful when you want to separate one campaign, release, or research group from the rest of your tracked keywords.

Use the Saved Keywords tab

The Saved Keywords tab is where you manage your tracked keyword list and organize it with folders.

  1. Click Saved Keywords.

  2. Use the folder row to move between All and any custom folders you have created.

  3. Review the keyword table for the selected folder.

The All folder shows your full saved-keyword list. Custom folders help you split keywords by project, release, artist, or workflow.

Create and manage folders in Saved Keywords

artist.tools supports a folder structure for saved keywords, and customers often use it to keep different campaigns separate.

  1. Open Saved Keywords.

  2. Click + New Folder.

  3. Enter a folder name that matches how you want to group the keywords.

  4. Save the folder, then move between folder tabs as needed.

Folder actions are also available from the Saved Keywords view, and the page supports folder ordering and folder-level management. If you do not see the folder creation option, your current plan may not include it.

How keywords get into Saved Keywords

You do not create keywords from the Saved Keywords tab itself. Instead, you save keywords from other SEO workflows in artist.tools, and they appear here for management.

After a keyword is saved, it is highlighted across the app and can also appear at the top of the keyword table on Playlist SEO pages. For more detail on individual keywords, open Keyword Page.

When to use this page

  • Use Overview when you want to check new or lost keyword movement across your tracked entities.

  • Use Overview when you want to review recent press or backlink activity.

  • Use Saved Keywords when you want to organize tracked terms into folders.

  • Use folder scoping when you want the overview to reflect one campaign or keyword set instead of your full account.

Troubleshooting

I do not see any changes in the overview cards

The page can show empty states such as No keyword changes in selected folders, No keyword activity in available history, or No press mentions in selected folders. Clear the folder scope or switch entity tabs to check whether you are filtering too narrowly.

I cannot find a keyword in Saved Keywords

Make sure the keyword was saved from another SEO workflow first, then check the All folder before looking in a custom folder.

I want to analyze one keyword in more detail

Open Keyword Page for a deeper view of a specific term.

What to do next

Use Keyword Page to inspect a single term in more detail, and read Press Mentions if you want a focused walkthrough of the backlink and coverage side of this page.
